Mt Angelo North
Mt Angelo North VMS copper – zinc - lead project is part of the Halls Creek Joint Venture (80% 3D Resources). The deposit is largely contained in Mining Lease (M80/247) within the Mt Angelo Exploration Licence and has been the subject of intense drilling and exploration by the Joint Venture.
The Mt Angelo North Project represents Volcanic Massive Sulphide (VMS) mineralisation occurring within the Koongie Park Formation that also hosts other VMS deposits held by Anglo Australian Resources Sandiego and Onedin deposits that are currently undergoing further evaluation.
The Mount Angelo North deposit has been known for many years as it is capped by an impressive iron rich gossan that is a dominant feature in this otherwise flat landscape. Since its discover there has been quite extensive drilling and over more recent years the company and the Halls Creek Joint Venture have undertaken extensive RC and Diamond Drilling that culminated in the announcement of a maiden Mineral Resource for the deposit.
